I found my fixpack by the PTF number - WR21342 is fixpack 7a

I'm on the download page
IBM - DB2 UDB Version 8 FixPaks & client downloads for 32-bit DB2 Products for Windows Operating Systems on 32-bit Intel and AMD systems

the download methods FTP and DD for this fixpack are greyed out..

Can anyone help? I need to get my hands on this fixpack for some upgrade testing..

I guess it was replaced by fixpak 7b, which _is_ available for download. There were some security APARs that were fixed in 7b, if I remember correctly.

Thank you for the reply. I was tasked with building an identical DB2 Connect Server (same build level) so that we can do upgrade testing.

installing DB2 Connect 8.2 and then fixpack 7b will put me at a different build level than our original .. Does anyone know how I can get my hands on Fixpack 7a?

I guess the only proper way is to contact IBM software support and explain your situation; they should be able to supply you with any fixpak release.

What you have is v8 fp7, not v8 fp7a. The PTF for fp7 and fp7a is the same, but the build level/signature is different. Why don't you upgrade your existing server to fp7b and then build a new one using the same level.

Thank you! If I can download and use fp7 for my testing I will do that.. No need to go through all the red-tape to upgrade my production server to fp7b - probably wouldn't be approved anyway if it was not to fix a known problem.

Thank you all for your help!!!!

DB2 became v8.2 starting with fp7 (it was considered v8.1 prior to fp7). I don't remember for sure, but I think some of the v8 DB2 books (including certification guides) may include a trial copy of v8.2 GA (which is fp7). The trial copy is ESE (I think it includes Connect)
