db2iupgrade on V9.7
I forgot to use -u db2fenc1 option while issuing db2iupgrade option while upgrading an instance from 9.5 to 9.7.

Instead of using

/opt/IBM/db2/V9.7/instance/db2iupgrade -u db2fenc1 <instancename>

I used

/opt/IBM/db2/V9.7/instance/db2iupgrade <instancename>

But still the instance got migrated. Does this create any issues ?

I think it should be ok. Check the content of <instance home>/sqllib/ctrl/.fencedID
