i got several pcs in here that require db2 - all windows xp x86 based. to automate the installation i distribute db2 via enteo netinstall that every user gets a fully working db2 on his pc without the option to manipulate the install.

here my problem:
all this comps need a connection to one server. i found out, that the connection information is stored in <INSTALLPATH>\SQLLIB\DB2\SQLDBDIR\SQLDBDIR

when i copy a fully working SQLDBDIR - file into the directory of a new installed db2-installation the database-connection-window in the control center is empty.

is there another way to tell db2 the location of a server?

DB2 offers two Tools for this task!

db2cfexp (Config Export)
db2cfimp (Config Import)
