how to use DB2/NT similate DB2/iSeries(as400)

Our production server has DB2 iSeries (as400). In develop time, we can't touch this production server. I plan to buid one development environment to simulate it. I have download and installed DB2 developer version. But I don't know how make it similar to our production environment. Do I need to install iSeries . If not, connection are different ?

thanks
Gary

DB2 LUW and DB2 iSeries are two different products. There is fairly high degree of compatibility at the SQL DML level, but not completely compatible.

Hi Marcus,
thanks for your reply.
Actually I want to know difference between DB2/NT connect to my .net app and DB2/iSeares connect to my .net app. When I switch from DB2/NT to DB2/iSearies, how much changes are needed. thanks

There is a DB2 LUW manual called "Developing ADO.NET and OLE DB Applications" that you can download here:
IBM - DB2 Version 9.7 for Linux, UNIX, and Windows English manuals

The above link is for DB2 9.7 manuals.
