Task Center error

Hi,

I have this error when i open my Task Center, I have 2 schedules running. But when i see it is running from last 2 days.

I try to open the jobs... it throws an error.

DBA1177N A database connection to the Tools Catalog Database
"TOOLSDB" cannot be made. SQLCODE "57019"
ICM00001N An SQL error occurred while connecting to the
database. Database = "TOOLSDB", Catalog = "SYSTOOLS".
[IBM][CLI Driver] SQL1084C Shared memory segments cannot be
allocated. SQLSTATE=57019


Kindly help me...

Can you connect to toolsdb from the command line? Try setting instance_memory dbm cfg to automatic, if it's not already, and retry.

its already set to automatic...

Size of instance shared memory (4KB) (INSTANCE_MEMORY) = AUTOMATIC(1000000)

what wlse option can i try

You need to check 1) kernel parameters are set appropriately if this is Linux/Solaris/HP-UX 2) database_memory for all active dbs doesn't exceed instance_memory (3.8 GB). Some db cfg parameters / bufferpools might be over-allocated if you used autoconfigure. Execute "db2diag -A" to archive your existing diag.log, connect to toolsdb from the command line to reproduce the error and then check for memory related errors in the db2diag.log.

hey it is working , after i refreshed by restrarting the db.

The requirement here is ,

1) i want to have complete backup on every 3 days
2) i want to have incremental backup evey day

so what i did is. i ve created 2 task in task-center which will give the respective command in the script-area, i had set the notification to my mail id,

let this be a simple question, but i dunno the answer,

after the incremental backup will i been getting only 1 backup image daily / more images daily.

second if im specifying those task center will it work correctly ?


pl. help me
