Red face ERROR While connecting TO oracle 10g
Hi

can any one please help me to solve the following error:

" java.sql.SQLException: Listener refused the connection with the following error: ORA-12505, TNS:listener does not currently know of SID given in connect descriptor The Connection descriptor used by the client was: localhost:1521:xe "

This error is coming when i am trying to connect to database from JSP page.

Sounds like your connection string is not correct or the listener configuration is wrong.

Anyhow: posting this in the DB2 forum is wrong (DB2 is the IBM database)
