In our application server, we are currently running DB2 Administration client V8.2.
I want to install Data server Client V9.7 (I believe that this is the equivalent to Administration client) in the same machine.

Because, I have two seperate database servers one with DB2 V8.2 and the other db2 V9.7.

So, how can I configure my application server to connect to database server appropriately.

what OS is your Application Server running?

Windows 2003 32bit.

I'm not sure, if you can install 8.2 and 9.7 in parallel. In 8.2 you could only have 1 Installation of DB2 on Windows.

If you only need connectivity, you could catalog both versions of the database in the 8.2 Client.

I am planning to install the V9.7 Client as a new copy and keep in seperate folder.
Then catalog v8 client to v8 db and v9 client to v9 db.

I beleive that I can define only one Instance name in env variable using
db2set.

So, every time do I need to change the instance name when I do the test?
