Connecting to DB2 without creating Data Source

Hi,
I am using Win 2k and using VC++ 6.0 (DB2 CLI library) to connect to database. I am currently connecting to server through DSN and it is working fine. Howerver, I wonder if it is possible to connect to DB2 without creating a Data Source.
