DB2 9.7 on virtual machines.

Hi guys,

I am not sure yet if db2 9.7 cannot be installed on virtual machines.
I tried 9.7.2 express-c on 3 different VMware machines, it failed.

Can someone guide me if I need some additional steps.

Thanks

It does work with certain VM environments. IBM supplies a trial version of DB2 already built on VMware. Go to this link and then click on "VMware® virtual machine with DB2 Enterprise 9.7 trial (32 bit) on Novell® SUSE® Linux® Enterprise Server":

Oh, Thanks,

I guess VMWare on my workplace is not suitable for regular DB2 releases. Otherwise, I am using db2 v9.7.2 express-c on centos on VirtualBox at home.

I will try this VM version, to discover more difference.

Thanks for help.
