Effects Of Ongoing Reorg Killed Forcefully.

Hello All,

Buen Día.......

Would like to know whats the difference between the below two situation where an ongoing reorg was forcefully killed(forcing the application running the REORG command.)

1> ONGOING ONLINE REORG BEING FORCED.

2> ONGOING OFFLINE REORG BEING FORCED.

Thanks a Ton......

1) ongoing online reorg being forced : Fully logged and will be rollbacked you have the option to RESUME the online reorg.

2) ongoing offline reorg being forced : Sort , build phases can be rolledback but once in goes to replace phase it has to complete reorg.

anytime you kill reorg, the table being reorg-ed will get into "reorg pending" state & when you access the table, reorg will happen again...only after completing the reorg, you will be able to access the table..
