Steps for automatic backup

How to schedule automatic backup to run on daily at 11pm?

I have tried using DB2 Health Monitor. Its asks me to specify the start time and duration.

I have mentioned start time as 11 PM and duration 1 hour.

Still, the backup is not created in the location specified?

What are the steps for scheduling automatic backup ?

I would suggest using OS tools that are available on your platform.

Keep in mind that Health Monitor has been deprecated (may be removed in some future release).
What's new in DB2 V9.7: Health monitor has been deprecated

IBM is in the process of developing some replacement tools, some free and some for extra fee, to replace Health Monitor.

Automatic maintenance has not been deprecated, but it seems to be intertwined with the Health Monitor. Most DB2 DBA's have learned by experience that cron jobs on UNIX or Linux are a better option.

If you still want to use DB2 tools (I would go with cron as Marcus suggested), take a look at another option of scheduling online backups:

Use the SQL-based Administrative Task Scheduler in DB2 9.5 for Linux, UNIX, and Windows
