We have DB2 ESE V7 Server and also DB2 Connect ESE V7 Server. In that db2level command is not showing the bit level of DB2..

Any way to find this please?

Also Do you have any document for migrating from DB2V7.2 to DB2V8.2 ?

Db2 level shows the output as below:
DB21085I Instance "db2pcon1" uses DB2 code release "SQL07029" with level
identifier "030A0105" and informational tokens "DB2 v7.1.0.111", "s050516" and
"U803327".

I believe that all V7 was only 32 bit. It went of of service in September of 2004. There were not too many 64 bit servers back then.

Unless you already have a copy of DB2 V8.2, you will not be able to obtain one since it went out of service in April 2009.

As far as migrating, the easiest way is to offline backup on V7 server and restore on v8.

If my memory serves me right, the third digit in v7.1.0.111 indicates the bitness. 0 is 32-bit.

We have DB2 Connect and DB2 ESE servers in version 7 to migrate into Version8.

Migrating to DB2 UDB Version 8.2

Why do you want to migrate to 8.2 - which has been out of support for over two years. Why not stick with 7?
Unless the customer has extended support for v8.2, it is a risk migrating to that version. A currently stable running system is relatively better.

Its based on the customer request we are upgrading to V8 , already mainframe end is migrated to db2v8 , now we are planning to do this from our end.

so fist to v8 and then they are planning to do migration of v9.
