ENV_GET_SYS_INFO on z/OS?

I have a customer that says that the ENV_GET_SYS_INFO function does not exist on z/OS. He says that this function only exists on LUW systems. He says he's running DB2 8.2 on z/OS.

Can anyone confirm that this is true? I don't have access to a z/OS system myself.

Also if anyone knows of a page in the ibm docs that clarify the differences in what system objects exist in LUW but not in the mainframe systems, that would be very useful to me. google seems to be drawing a blank for me here.

I did find this page that says this function was introduced in fixpack 8.2.2, but my customer says fixpacks don't apply to z/OS. Says they apply only to LUW systems. Is this correct?

thanks!

DB2 for z/OS and DB2 for LUW are two different products, and have two completely different sets of manuals/InfoCenter.
