M204 (Model 204) is a high volume OLTP database for IBM mainframes from Rocket Software.

DB2 is a database caters both OLTP and OLAP workloads for both mainframe and distributed environment from IBM.

I haven't worked with M204 for over 25 years. At that time it was an inverted list database (similar to Adabas). I suppose the have probably added a SQL front end on it since then, but I doubt if it is really relational like DB2.
