generated field

I've one question related to table column for generated field..
If I create a table and then Generated is 'D'
what does D means against generated feature??
does this means Derived or Auto Generated.

The definitions of the columns in SYSCAT.COLUMNS (which shows the "D" for GENERATED) are located in SQL Reference Vol 1, Appendix D. System catalog views. You can download the manual here:
