please tell me about db2

Hello i am a engineering student can anyone tell me about DB2 and scope of db2 . will db2 certification be helpful in fetching me a job in database.
compared to other databases like oracle and sql does db2 has good scope ?

Check the online job websites for info on number of DBA jobs for each database.

no. sql server or/and oracle are better. and lots of db2 jobs got outsourced to India,China and Brazil.

DB2 is the great Data Base ! You'll like it if you'll survive.

With DB2 you can do everything what do you want and something you don't want.

For example you can count number of letters in sentence ' Welcome DB2 2011 !'....

I like DB2 for similar reasons. DB2 has much more logical thinking (commands ) and stable intentions ( foundation ) . Best of all it has full faith in OS.

I started with oracle , switched to DB2 within a year.
