Not able to start db2cc or db2hc

Hello

I am using DB2 ESE V9.5 FP5 on windows platform. I am able to perform all the operations on the databases i have like connecting, querying but not able to open db2cc and db2hc neither from run nor from db2cmd command line. The problem is that on running command db2hc or db2cc either it gets hangs in between or the window in which the loading shows disappears suddenly. Can anyone help in this issue....

Thanks.

db2 installs it's own java alongside the database. Are there other java versions installed on that server?

There are two Runtime and one SE that appear into the control panel:

Java 6 Update 13 (Sun Microsystems)
Java 6 Update 21 - 64-bit (Oracle)
Java SE Development Kit 6 Update 13 (Sun Microsystems)

And there is another version at the folder C:\Program Files\IBM\SQLLIB\java
which copyright is as follows:
"Licensed material - Property of IBM.
IBM(R) 64-bit SDK for Windows(R), Java(TM) 2 Technology Edition, Version 5.0

Never understood more than 1 java on a server... See if you can make a script so that db2cc only "sees" its own java and classpath.

Neither do I. I'll check it with the server maintenance team and get back here with results.

Thanks :-)

It's the second time it happens. The system simply came back to a regular state. I was planning to reboot the server along with the maintenance people. As I was out of work last week, when I returned this monday and attempted to access the graphic tools they simply got back to normal... No reboot made...

It's so good that things are running fine now, but it's so bad not having any clue about what caused the problem and worse, what resolved it...
