What are the authentication modes available in DB2?

What are the authentication modes available in DB2 like in SQL have two authentication modes e.g. windows and SQL and for windows authentication modes password is not required?
How DB2 works in that scenario?

db2 does not use this mechanism
the checking is always done by o/s or ldap
no pw are saved in db
have a look at
Authorization, privileges, and object ownership
and many more reading for new db2 users..
