Anyone explain DB2INSTOWNER and DB2ACCOUNTNAME registry variables used for?

Hi

An instA is created in serverA and databases are created in the instA.
but the DB2INSTOWNER & DB2ACCOUNTNAME are set to serverB.

what does this mean? serverA is in development & serverB is PROD and these two servers are in Windows cluster. the DB2 is V8 fp 14 built in VM environment.

Thanks in advance..

regards
sasidhar
