DB2 Connectivity Issue

Hello All,

We have a DB2 Connect Server - with DB2V8.1 FP18 and OS level as AIX 5.2.
From Application Client Interface , they are getting the connectivity error as below:

[IBM][CLI Driver] SQL30061N The database alias or database name "DB2D " was not found at the remote node. SQLSTATE=08004
[Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Driver's SQLSetConnectAttr failed

Am able to connect to the db from my end.

Please advise what may be the cause of this issue and how to eradicate the same ?

Thanks
Meena.s

is db2 connect installed at gateway server or same server as client
check db2 list node directory - db directory from gateway and client
check that port -svcename is cataloged correctly

Also db2 connect installed at gateway server only.

Thanks

Its a developement application , so initially testing with single user id.
But the user id they use - is common at the application client interface.
