Bufferpools

Dear all

I am thinking about a standard layout for our DB2 databases and want to introduce a name convention for the database objects.
I have heard that the databases within the same instance should not use the same name for the bufferpools otherwise the bufferpool of one database could be used by another database.
I don't really understand why, and I am not sure if it is a correct statement.
Could someone geive me an answer about that ?
We have DB2 v8.2 and DB2 v9 (FixPak 6a)

Thanks a lot in advance
Best regards
Renaud
