Hi- All,

I'm having db2 9.7 on Linux.
I have been experiencing a problem processing an invoice with 700+ lines. The raw data size is small (280k), so that should not be an issue.

Statement heap size is Automatic.

The error we are getting is:

[IBM][CLI Driver][DB2/LINUXX8664] SQL0302N The value of a host variable in the EXECUTE or OPEN statement is too large for its corresponding use. SQLSTATE=22001

Please help me to solve this error.

hello

check the length of column data with respect to data in going to be
inserted. looks like data is being entered is larger then specified column
length in table.

I have seen an error below in db2inst1.nfy file. I'm wondering if that is related to this error.

ADM1823E The active log is full and is held by application handle "12267..".
Terminate this application by COMMIT, ROLLBACK or FORCE APPLICATION.

no these are not related. but yes second one is also an another error. according to that txn log is full. you need to check which job is filling logs.. which job is a long running job.. etc etc . and finally kill few of them to clear out the space

Also having this error in db2diag:

RETCODE : ZRC=0x8B0F0002=-1961951230=SQLO_NOMEM_DBH
"No memory available in 'Database Heap'"
DIA8302C No memory available in the database heap.


DB heap size is 900. If I increase that will it solve the problem?

no.. increasing memory heap will not resolve.. on the other hand .. memory error is another issue for you
