AS400/ConnectionPool

Hello I am trying to write a java AS400 dbHandler class that uses the AS400JDBCConnectionPool. I am having a problem figuring out how to select what database I wish to connect to. I can connect to the server just fine, but can not do any selects. I get a error that it can not file the table in *FILE. There is a command setDatabaseName for the AS400JDBCConnectionPoolDataSource class but it doesn't seem to help any. If some would help out with this that would be great.
