I have a database on DB2 OS390 version 6.

I am experimenting with JDBC and have successfully made connection and executed statements using type 2 DB2Driver. ( Client on Win2000).

I have been receiving the following error when I try to communicate with the server:
CLI0615E Error receiving from socket SQLSTATE=08S01


Am I correct in assuming that there is no support for type 4 Drivers on version 6 of DB2 OS390? I have scoured the internet for confirmation of this but there is nothing explicit to settle this argument I am having with myself.


Does anyone have similar experiences or even a solution?
