Is it true 64 bit Aix5.2 not recomended until v8 of db2

No its not, We have 64 bit db2 on a bunch of 5.2 boxes and had no problems. We had heard this rumor too and IBM say that ifs fully supported and no majory problems. We have had this in our prod systems for about 5 months.

Thank you for your response,
our applications use C++, do you think after convert to 64 bit we will have problem with our current codes(application).
