DB2 recovery questions

If someone could provide me the answers to the below questions it would be appreciated

b. For 7.2 DB2 Recovery, do you need SMS containers setup first?, Can you recover without that information?

c. If b, can be recovered, where is the SMS container info kept?

Thanks

mark

Mark,
I think you mean Restore instead of recovery. Yes, you can do what you want. It is called "Redirected Restore". Look at the RESTORE command to figure out how you need to perform this for your particular setup.
