Data Scalability

We are running db2 v8.1.3 on Win2k platform.
we are planning to scale the dataset what we have in our data mart. I would like to know what are the alternate/best ways we can achieve this in terms of:-
>faster dataloading.
>faster scripting (incase of stored procs.)
>achieving the business logic reqd. (probably writing all the facts to a temp table/summary table)

My thought was we can use stored procedures to start with (as the comfort level is high) But before writing stored procs. I wanted to evalutate the other options.

Please let me know any other tried tested better options...

Many thanks in advance.
