DB2 service not starting with network on

Hi,
I intalled DB2 Enterprice Edition in Linux, and it works fine as long as the network card is not enabled. But moment the network card is enabled, only one DB2 service gets stared and cannot connect to the DB2 command line. It says

SQL6048N A communication error occured during START or STOP DATABASE MANAGER processing.

The computer is a x86 processor, a P-iv.

Thanks in advance
Cheers,
Suren.

Re: DB2 service not starting with network on

You will have to see the error messages generated when the problem occured ...

That may throw light on what the problem was ..

Also, see if there are any OS related error messages in the OS logs ... This sounds more of a OS problem than a db2 problem to me
