db2 and connection type 4

I have WAS advanced 4 installed on a 7,2 UDB DB2 fixpack 8...
where I have created Data Source (pool connections) with a Driver (db2java.zip) from a UDB DB2 8,1 with fixpack 2, that is connected to a database of the same version...
I am trying to connect to me with this Data Source and the properties :
portNumber
serverName
databaseName
user
password
but leaves following error to me CLI0621E
thanks!..

Re: db2 and connection type 4

AFAIK, V8's type 4 driver is not compatible with V7 ..

But, a couple of day back, there was another thread where a member has suggested a methodology to do this ... Search the forum to find the thread .... IMHO, that is not a supported way of doing things ...
