DB2 Client connection error

Hi,

I am new to DB2. I am developing a .NET WebService which connects to db2 database on a mainframe.

I have installed DB2 client version 7.2 in my machine running windows2000 professional. I have created database alias by running a batch file which is given to me by my team.

When i tried to connect i am getting the following error.

[IBM][CLI Driver] SQL1108N An unexpected I/O error or operating system error was received while loading the specified DLL "ddcsa". SQLSTATE=42724

SQLCODE:-1108

I was advised to install fixpak7, which i did. But i am still getting the same error? Any ideas why i am getting this error?

Thanks in Advance.

Regards,
Saravanan

Hi,

Thanks a lot for for responding Abel. I have found the solution.

If you are connecting to DB2 running in os/390 from a windows client then you need db2 connect including the client.

The details are in the following link.

Thanks & Regards,
