excessive logs with runstats

Is there any way to suppress log generations when doing runstats, with DB2 UDB 7.2 on Sun Solaris?

Exactly what log generations are you referring to? The catalog gets updated with the statistics, but the tables do not get updated. When the catalog is updated, then some logging needs to occur.
