DB2 backups running slow

I am running a full online database backup on DB2 UDB 7.2 FP6 with AIX 5.2L both 32 bit. Normally the backups only take 2-3 hours but for some reason lately the backups are running MUCH SLOWER than usual. Like 5-6 hours. Any way to improve performance of backups? Thanks.

Re: DB2 backups running slow

Could be other activity on the system ...

You can use buffer size, numbuffers, parallelism, numsessions(if you are using TSM) etc ...

Cheers
