relation between DB2 instance name and owner name

Is there any relation in between DB2 instance name and owner name?
What are the possibilties that they will be different?
Given the owner name or the instance name can I get the other using some CLI?

Re: relation between DB2 instance name and owner name

On Windows, you can have different names ...

On Unix, the instance owner and the name of the isntance are the same

Re: relation between DB2 instance name and owner name

I don't remember ....

I assume one of developer domain articles will come in handy if you want it on paper ...

Other option is to look at the Command Reference for db2icrt ... The description may tell what you want

Cheers
