Hi,

I have installed DB2 7.2 in my local system using my domain username and password.

During installation I got the error like
'creation of the SATCTLDB database failed' and error codes like 1403 and 2009 appeared.

After bypassing that and installation,I got the 'First Steps' screen and using which I clicked the first step ie, create sample database.But I am getting the error stating the username & password are incorrect and error code 08004 is returned.

During installation of DB2 ,I have given the username and password as that of my system login username & password.

Please help me on how to overcome this issue and install sample database.

Does your domain userid that you used for the install have windows system administration authority?

The user account must belong to the Administrators group on the
machine where you will perform the installation and must have the
following user rights:

- Act as part of the operating system
