Unhappy DB2 Client Connectivity

According to everything we have the db2 client on AIX configured correctly to access the database on AIX Server. However I'm getting an SQL error when I try to connect that tells me I'm using an incorrect password or username, even though I'm positive that these are correct. I've also installed the windows client , but I get the same error message as from AIX.

Check for Authentication.

Hi,

Please check for the value of the Authentication variable in the DBM registry. Please also ensure that the userid exists on both the servers and has necessary rights.

Last and maybe not so important, if there is a problem with the password you can reset the same with the client config assistant.

Hope that helps,

Please also remember to list your db2 version and fix pack details from your next posts onwards.

Nitin.
