Export utility file permissions

Does anybody know how file permissions are set when using the export utility?

We run on AIX5.2 DB2 V8.1.4

When we run the Export utility with any user (umask is 022) the export file and message file's permissions are: rw-r----- when it should be rw-r--r--

When we run the load utility with the same user, we get correct file permissions on the output files.

Can anyone explain this behaviour?
