db2 v8.1 Mandrake 9.2

I just did a fresh install of MDK 9.2. Are there any special packages, kernel settings etc. in order to get DB2 ESE v8.1 to install? The install failed from the CD-ROM installing the file set ibm_db2rte81-8.1.0-0. complained about md5sum or something? Any ideas?
