Automated data process

Hi,

What I want to do is trying to understand the options for getting data out of an SQL server database and into a DB2 database.

The SQL Server database is behind the company's firewall.
We need to get some data from there onto the new website. This has to be an automated process.

There are two parts to the problem. Exporting the data and getting it to the web site. It has to be automated.

This could be via some automated task doing an extract every night and sending it to the web server some how.

I need to know & understand how it can be done. We are working in IBM Websphere environment.

Thank you

I am not sure exactly what you want, but you might look at Federated Database support in DB2. Check out the "Federated Systems Guide" (db2fpe80.pdf on the IBM web site).
