Red face How to Enable Data Partioning Feature

Hi Everyone of this Group,

I Appreiciate If anybody can help me in enabling data partioning feature.

I have installed db2 8.1 ESE for aix and I am working with one physical box.

Is there any command by which I can enable the data partitioning feature.

Please Assist me , Awaiting for reply.

I think you will have to stop the database and update the db2nodes.cfg file under $insthome/sqllib/. Remember that this will almost double memory consumption, so before you bring it down, you will need to reduce memory consumption accordingly. Also, do this before you create a database in the instance.

Look at the start database manager command. Also you can do this via the Control Center (which generates the above command and submits it).

You will also need to make sure that the license key that you have is for partitioning.
