I am using DB2 ver 7.1 with IBM secureway directory server ver 3.2.
When I install the directory server , the automatic config script starting at reboot print out the message:

Created database instance: ldapdb2
.........
Getting configuration for database: ldapdb2
SQL1013N The database alias name or database name "LDAPDB2" could not be found. SQLSTATE=42705

Removing account rights from account: ldapdb2.
"

After that I try to add the database remote instance named "LDAPDB2" at DB2 control center but I fail to do so, can anyone kindly tell me why?

Hi.

Does your user have the necessary rights for the instance creation as well as the database creation.

Please go thru the log file created by your autoscript and that should give us some more idea about your issue.
