Hi,

I am a beginner to Database world....
I would like to know why is an Alias defined to a database??
And i am not sure if Alias can be created for any other objects in database world......Can somebody look in to this....

If you are interested in DB2 aliases, then go to the thread above entitled "Useful DB2 Stuff" and find the link to the DB2 manuals. You can look in the Master Index for alias, or the SQL Reference and Command Reference or where aliases are defined.

But i tried to search and find a good document(information) about Alias.
I could not find any. Please let me know if you have any "web link" to document showing/explaining Alias.
