Question Db2 V7.2 fixpak levels for 64-bit AIX

I'm trying to determine which fixpak level would be best for the following scenario;

AIX 5L OS - kernel running in 64-bit mode
Db2 client install using V7.1.0.41 (fixpak 3) 32-bit media
Applications using this Db2 client will not be utilizing 64-bit mode (i.e. this is a three-tier enviornment).

Would it be better to install 64-bit fixpaks (i.e. fixpak 4 for 64-bit and then fixpak 10a for 64-bit) or is it just as well applying a 32-bit compatible fixpak? If the former, will it have any negative impact if applications are not using 64-bit mode?

Thank you.
