Question DIAGLOG HUNG/Not get updated

Gang,

Its EEE environment. Aix V8.1
Found.. For the past 10 hours Db2diag.log does not get updated.
But, For the past 10 hours Database was very very very busy with Export, Select queries, Admin activities like "snapshot, list etc.etc."

Any one has a comment on this. Why DB2DIAG.log did not get updated?

Renamed the Old db2diag.log to old. Now, Db2diag gets updated often.

Checked system logs, ran errpt -a -- No clue.

Thanks
Racha

Re: DIAGLOG HUNG/Not get updated

do this small test, load a small test table with data (say 10 rows). See if you see any update activity. If not then stop/restart the database manager.

What is your diag level anyway? Rem, the logging activity depends on the log level set for the database manager.

I would also make sure that the directory/disk is not full, check your diagpath and make sure it pointing to where you thought it was, maybe it was change accidently
