We are on UDB V8.1 on AIX.


I had encountered this problem earlier -
We did a redirected restore and now I cannot connect to the database.
I saw lots of stuff on the net ( as well as the replies to my earlier post on the same topic) -
I tried to do a db2stop and start - still the problem persisted.
Then I tried db2stop and tried to delete the files manually but OS did not allow me to delete the file.
It seems in some cases the db2dari process keeps a lock on this file but I could not find a db2fmp process running on our system.

Can someone tell me how to find which db2 process is locking these files ?
Also I thought that this was a problem exisiting in V7 and had been rectified in V8 - am I wrong ?

Stop your database and as root do slibclean ...

To find which process is holding the files, you can use fuser command ...
