Question Connecting to DB2 on private LAN from public network via NAT

I have a problem connecting to my DB2 databases. The DB2 server is on a private network. I'm connecting from a public network. When I try to connect a message appears which says that the server can be reached but connection to the database fails. The client uses the public address of the DB2 server. It seems to be that the server sends back its private address as an address to use when connecting the database. The client uses the address received from the DB2 server to connect to the database. This fails because the address can not be reached.

What must I configure to solve the problem????
