dealing date ranges

Hi,

I want to use select all the records between certain date ranges. Like, Select * from table1 where table1.date is between <startdate> and <enddate>

How do i write a query for this?

Select * from table1 where table1.date is between '2002-01-20' and '2002-01-30'

Actually, you may need to get rid of the word "is". It is definitely not necessary and may cause a syntax error.
