BLOB problem

Hi,

We are facing a problem with the BLOB datatype. Our JDBC driver is not supporting LOB's.. Currently, we cannot upgrade our JDBC driver. So, we would like to know any other datatype in DB2 which supports storing Binary data apart from BLOB. Currently we are using DB2 version V6 on S/390.
From our java program, we should be in a position to insert and retrieve data from the DB2 table..
