db2 query with case translation

Hi,
I have a select query like this ,
select enam from emp

Now I want to modify the query such that only the first letter of ename I query must be upper case and the rest in smaller case.

Try

select upper(substr(enam, 1, 1))!!lower(substr(enam, 2, length(enam)-1)) from emp
