Two DB2 databases with the same name in one network

Hi,

I have two databases with the same name(x) installed in one domain. When I try to configure one of the databases using configuration Assitant, I'm receiving error message "SQL22205C The DB2 Administration Server encountered an unexpected error while executing a request."

(The DB2 administration server is active on the host machine)

Could someone suggest me where to look and how to solve the issue?

DIscover Parameters

Hi,

What's your operating system? DB2 Version and Fixpack.

Perhaps what is happening is that when you are trying the search method to catalog that database, the admin server is getting dual entries for the database as the names are the same.

One Suggestion you play around with the discover parameters and then disable discovery for one database and then go ahead and catalog one of the databases and then go ahead and catalog the other one with another alias.

Other Suggestion Change the alais name for one of the databases and see what happens.
