nested stored procedure calls across db's in a federated system

In UDB, is it possible to make a nested stored procedure call to execute a procedure that resides in a separate database that is linked via a federated db object? It doesn't appear that there is any "nickname" facility to call a sp on a linked db. I currently get the generic error, "DB21036E The CALL command failed."
